Biography
Michael Poryes is an American television writer and producer. Born in Los Angeles on 22 March 1955, he began his career writing episodes for series including Alice (1976), The Facts of Life (1979), Who's the Boss? (1984), Small Wonder (1985) and Saved by the Bell (1989). He contributed the story for the 1992 Roseanne episode 'This Old House'.
Poryes created and served as executive producer on the Disney Channel series That's So Raven (2003–2007) and Hannah Montana (2006–2011). He has also created Life with Boys (2011) and contributed to spin-offs including Raven's Home (2017). He received a Humanitas Prize nomination for his work on Roseanne and Emmy nominations for outstanding children's programme on Hannah Montana.
