Biography
Michael Price is an English composer and pianist. He began his career composing for contemporary dance before working as an arranger, producer and music editor alongside Michael Kamen on films including Event Horizon (1997) and Band of Brothers (2001). He later served as music editor on The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), for which he won a Golden Reel Award, as well as Love Actually (2003), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004) and Children of Men (2006).
Price is best known for his television scores, particularly his long collaboration with David Arnold on the BBC series Sherlock (2010–2017), for which they shared a Primetime Emmy Award in 2014. He has also composed for Unforgotten (2015–), Dracula (2020) and Soulmates (2020), and scored films including Wild Child (2008), The Inbetweeners Movie (2011) and Eternal Beauty (2019). As a solo artist he has released albums on Erased Tapes Records.
