Biography
Michael Sayers (1911–2010) was an Irish poet, playwright, writer and screenwriter. Born in Dublin, he was educated at Trinity College Dublin, where he studied French under Samuel Beckett, and later worked in journalism and literature in Britain and the United States.
In the 1950s he was blacklisted in the United States during the McCarthy era and wrote under the pseudonym Michael Connor for British television series including episodes of The Adventures of Robin Hood and The Invisible Man. He co-authored books such as The Great Conspiracy: The Secret War Against Soviet Russia (1946) with Albert E. Kahn.
In the 1960s Sayers worked for producer Charles K. Feldman and contributed to the screenplay of the James Bond film Casino Royale (1967), credited alongside Wolf Mankowitz and John Law.
