Biography
Michael Snyman is a South African cinematographer and director of photography, based in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He began his career in documentary filmmaking, progressing through roles as clapper loader, focus puller and camera operator before shooting projects such as Gettysburg and Mankind.
Snyman has worked extensively in television and features, including as director of photography on the six-part series The Night Manager (2016) for BBC and AMC, directed by Susanne Bier. His other credits include See (2019–2022), Warrior (2019–2023), Action Point (2018) and A Second Chance (2014). He has received Emmy nominations for his documentary work.
