Biography
Michael Steinberg is an American film and television director, writer and producer. He graduated from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
Steinberg directed The Waterdance (1992), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature and the Audience Award; Bodies, Rest & Motion (1993), also at Sundance; and Wicked (1998). He produced There's Something About Mary (1998), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, and co-wrote Sleep with Me (1994) and The Cave (2005). He also produced Hell Ride (2008).
His films have screened at festivals including Cannes. Steinberg has worked on several television projects since 2000.
