Biography
Michael Tucci (born 15 April 1946) is an American actor and retired high school teacher. He is best known for playing Sonny LaTierri in the 1978 film Grease.
Tucci graduated from H. Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square, New York, and C.W. Post College of Long Island University. He attended Brooklyn Law School, passed the bar and worked briefly as an assistant district attorney in New York before returning to acting. His stage credits include touring productions of the musical Chicago and several Broadway shows. On television he played Pete Schumaker in It's Garry Shandling's Show (1986–1990), Gerald Golden in The Paper Chase (1983–1986) and Norman Briggs in Diagnosis: Murder (1993–1997). He later taught theatre at St. Francis High School in La Cañada Flintridge, California.
