Biography
Michael Williams is an American film and television producer. He began his career as a location scout for television series and feature films, including work on Spenser: For Hire and films directed by Jodie Foster, Danny DeVito and Richard Benjamin. He later founded Scout Productions.
Williams has produced several documentaries with Errol Morris, including Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred A. Leuchter, Jr. (1999) and The Fog of War (2003). The latter won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. His other feature credits include Session 9 (2001) and Transsiberian (2008).
He has also worked in television, earning an Emmy Award as executive producer of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
