Biography

Michel Rubini is an American composer and musician. Born on 3 December 1942 in Los Angeles, California, he began as a classical pianist and worked as a session musician in the 1960s and 1970s, including with The Wrecking Crew. He performed on recordings by artists such as Ray Charles, Frank Zappa, Sonny & Cher and Barbra Streisand.

Rubini has composed scores for several films, including The Hunger (1983), Manhunter (1986), Band of the Hand (1986) and Nemesis (1992). He has also written music for television series such as Capitol (1982–1987), The Hitchhiker (1984–1987) and Tales from the Crypt (1990). He is the son of violinist Jan Rubini.
