Biography
Michèle Ray-Gavras is a French film producer and former journalist. Born in Paris in 1939, she began her career as an independent journalist in the 1960s, reporting on conflicts in Vietnam and Bolivia for French media outlets.
She has produced numerous films, often in collaboration with her husband, director Costa-Gavras, through their company KG Productions. Her credits include Special Section (1975), Amen. (2002), The Ax (2005), Capital (2012), Adults in the Room (2019) and No Other Choice (2025).
Ray-Gavras married Costa-Gavras in 1968. Their children include producers and directors Alexandre Gavras, Julie Gavras and Romain Gavras.
