Biography
Michelle Joyner is an American actress and director. Born on 17 September 1961 in Sacramento, California, she trained in acting after a modelling career, including a programme at Balliol College, Oxford, involving the Moscow Art Theatre and Berliner Ensemble. She holds a BA in English Literature from Hunter College.
Joyner is known for film roles including Sarah in Cliffhanger (1993), Sherry Mauldin in Outbreak (1995), Donna Joy in I Love You to Death (1990) and Jenny in Grim Prairie Tales (1990). Her television credits include Ellen Adderly in The X-Files (2000), appearances in Bones (2011), Millennium (1996), Quantum Leap (1989) and Perception (2012).
She has also worked in theatre as a director, writer and dramaturg. Joyner has been married to director Robert H. Egan since 2001.
