Biography
Mike Elliot, also credited as Mike Elliott and known as Mike the Mouth, was an English actor, stand-up comedian and radio personality. Born in Sunderland on 17 July 1946, he began his career in the 1970s and 1980s as a stand-up comedian on the North East club circuit and appeared on the 1983 Channel 4 series At Last, It's Mike Elliott.
He played George Watson in the 2000 film Billy Elliot and Gordon in the Goal! films (2005 and 2009). Other acting credits include roles in television series such as Crocodile Shoes (1994) and Byker Grove. He also worked as a radio presenter, notably hosting late-night phone-in shows on Century FM from 1995.
Elliot died on 23 December 2014 in the UK.
