Biography
Mike Gray (1935–2013) was an American writer, screenwriter, producer, director and cinematographer. He co-founded the Chicago film production company The Film Group in 1965 and produced documentaries including American Revolution 2 (1969) and The Murder of Fred Hampton (1971).
Gray co-wrote the screenplay for The China Syndrome (1979) with T. S. Cook and James Bridges. He wrote and directed the science-fiction film Wavelength (1983), co-created the television series Starman (1986–87), and served as series writer and producer on Star Trek: The Next Generation during its 1988–89 season, writing the episode "Unnatural Selection". He also wrote the screenplay for Code of Silence (1985) and worked as second-unit director on The Fugitive (1993).
