Biography
Mike Van Waes is an American screenwriter. He received a screenplay credit on the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch (2025), directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, and co-wrote the screenplay and story for Dear David (2023).
A Connecticut native, Van Waes developed an early story pitch for the Lilo & Stitch remake in 2018. He was the first writer on the project before Chris Kekaniokalani Bright contributed to rewrites.
