Biography

Miki Odagiri (小田切みき), also credited as 富士山君子, was a Japanese actress. Born Miki Yomo (四方美喜) on 29 June 1930 in Sendagaya, Tokyo, she began her career as a child performer, receiving training in buyō and appearing on stage from 1935. She later studied at the Haiyuza Theatre Company.

She is best known for her role as Toyo Odagiri, a young office worker, in Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru (1952). Other film credits include Gan (1953), The Moon Has Risen (1955), Stakeout (1958) and Shinran: Path to Purity (1987). She also appeared in television dramas. Odagiri died on 28 November 2006 in Kamakura, Kanagawa, aged 76.
