Biography
Milly, born Carla Mignone, was an Italian singer, actress and cabaret performer also credited as Milli Monti and Carla Mignone. She began performing as a child with her siblings and debuted as a singer in 1925 at the Teatro Fiandra in Milan.
She appeared in numerous films, including Black Sabbath (1963) as the maid in the segment 'A Drop of Water' and The Conformist (1970) as Marcello's mother. Other credits include Gidget Goes to Rome (1963) and earlier Italian comedies. She also worked in theatre, notably as Jenny in Giorgio Strehler's production of The Threepenny Opera (1956), and spent time performing in the United States from the mid-1930s to the late 1940s.
