Biography
Milt Josefsberg was an American comedy writer and producer. His first major break came in 1938 as a writer on Bob Hope’s radio programme. He later spent twelve years writing for The Jack Benny Program on radio and television.
Josefsberg worked extensively in television sitcoms, serving as a writer, script consultant and story editor on The Lucy Show and creating the format for Here’s Lucy. From 1975 he joined the staff of All in the Family, contributing as a writer, story editor, script supervisor and producer; he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1978. He also wrote episodes of Archie Bunker’s Place and other series, and authored the books The Jack Benny Show (1977) and Comedy Writing for Television and Hollywood.
