Biography
Milton Frome (also credited as Milt Frome) was an American character actor. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 24 February 1909, he made his screen debut in the 1934 short Daredevil O'Dare and appeared in the 1939 feature Ride 'Em Cowgirl. After a period of limited work, he resumed acting in the 1950s with guest roles on television series including I Love Lucy and Adventures of Superman.
Frome appeared in approximately 140 film and television productions between 1934 and 1977. He played Vice Admiral Fangschliester in the 1966 Batman film and Laughing Leo in two episodes of the Batman television series. Other credits include The Nutty Professor (1963), The St. Valentine's Day Massacre (1967), and guest appearances on Bewitched, The Addams Family, Columbo and Kung Fu. He also worked as a straight man for Milton Berle and appeared in numerous Jerry Lewis films. Frome died in Woodland Hills, California, on 21 March 1989.
