Biography
Milton Nascimento, also known as Bituca or Milton Silva Campos do Nascimento, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and actor. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1942, he moved to Três Pontas in Minas Gerais as a child and later became one of Brazil's most prominent musicians, recording numerous albums and collaborating with international artists.
He has appeared in a small number of films and television productions. His screen credits include the role of the Black Man at the Opera House in Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo (1982) and a voice role as himself in the documentary They Shot the Piano Player (2023). Other acting appearances encompass Of Gods and the Undead (1970) and episodes of Brazilian television series.
