Biography
Min Tanaka (田中泯) is a Japanese dancer and actor. Born in Tokyo in 1945, he trained in ballet and modern dance before developing his own improvisational style from 1974, performing extensively outdoors and later incorporating elements of Body Weather training.
He began appearing in films in 2002. Tanaka is known for roles including Zenemon Yogo in The Twilight Samurai (2002), Lord Asano in 47 Ronin (2013), and the Homeless man in Perfect Days (2023). He received the Japan Academy Prize for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Twilight Samurai.
