Biography
Mink Stole is an American actress born Nancy Paine Stoll on 25 August 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. She began her career in 1966 with director John Waters and has appeared in all of his feature films, a distinction shared with only a few others. She is recognised as one of the Dreamlanders, Waters' regular ensemble of performers.
Her best-known role is as Connie Marble in Pink Flamingos (1972). She has also appeared in Waters films including Female Trouble (1974), Desperate Living (1977), Polyester (1981), Hairspray (1988), Cry-Baby (1990), Serial Mom (1994), Cecil B. Demented (2000) and A Dirty Shame (2004). Stole has worked in other films and television, and wrote a column for the Baltimore City Paper.
