Biography
Mireille Darc was a French actress. Born Mireille Christiane Gabrielle Aimée Aigroz on 15 May 1938 in Toulon, she trained at the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Toulon before moving to Paris in 1959. She began her career in television dramas in the early 1960s and made her film debut around the same time.
Darc appeared as Corinne Durand in Jean-Luc Godard's Weekend (1967). She is also known for her roles as Christine in The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe (1972) and its 1974 sequel, and for collaborations with Alain Delon in films including Borsalino (1970) and Death of a Corrupt Man (1977). She received the Legion of Honour and was made a Commander of the National Order of Merit. Darc died in Paris on 28 August 2017.
