Biography
Miriam Silverman is an American actress. Born in Manhattan, New York, she studied at Brown University, where she earned a BA in Literature and Southeast Asian studies in 2001 and an MFA in Acting in 2005.
She began her professional career in off-Broadway productions and made her Broadway debut in Junk (2017). In 2023 she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her role as Mavis Parodus Bryson in the revival of The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window.
Silverman has recurring television roles including Bernice in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017–2023). She appears as Florence in the 2026 Netflix series Vladimir, and has credits in The Night Agent (2023), Landman (2024) and Your Friends & Neighbors (2025). She also works as an acting coach and adjunct professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
