Biography
Mitchell Brower was an American film producer and theatre manager. He produced McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), directed by Robert Altman and starring Warren Beatty and Julie Christie, in partnership with David Foster. He also produced The Getaway (1972), directed by Sam Peckinpah.
Brower worked on several television films in the 1970s, including Larry (1974), Promise Him Anything (1975), Minstrel Man (1977) and The Gift of Love (1978). He served as general manager of the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center and held company manager roles on numerous Broadway productions from the late 1950s to the 1980s.
Born on 7 November 1926, Brower died on 2 April 2016 in New York City.
