Biography
Moira Walley-Beckett is a Canadian-American screenwriter, producer and former actress. She began her career as a television actress in the mid-1980s, with guest roles on series including MacGyver, 21 Jump Street and ER. She trained at the Banff School of Fine Arts and joined the Arts Club Theatre Company in 1982.
Walley-Beckett started writing for television in 2007. She joined the writing staff of Breaking Bad as a story editor for the second season and went on to write nine episodes, including "Ozymandias". For her work on the series she received three Primetime Emmy Awards, three Writers Guild of America Awards and other honours. She created the series Flesh and Bone (2015) and Anne with an E (2017), and wrote the feature film The Grizzlies (2018).
