Biography
Momoko Kôchi (born Momoko Ōkōchi) was a Japanese actress who worked in film, stage and television. She joined Toho through its New Face programme in 1953 after completing high school and an office job, making her screen debut that year in A Woman's Heart Released.
She is best known for playing Emiko Yamane in Godzilla (1954), directed by Ishirō Honda. She also appeared in The Mysterians (1957) as Hiroko Iwamoto and reprised the role of Emiko Yamane in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). Later in her career she focused more on stage work and television while undertaking formal acting training.
Kôchi died in Tokyo in 1998.
