Biography
Mona Barrie was an English-born actress who appeared in more than fifty films, primarily in supporting roles. She began her career on the stage in Australia, making her professional debut in 1922 and performing in musical comedies for J.C. Williamson's for a decade. Her first film was the 1932 Australian production His Royal Highness.
Barrie moved to the United States in 1933 and made her Hollywood debut in 1934. That year she appeared as Lally in One Night of Love. She continued working in American films through the early 1950s, with credits including Carolina (1934), Ladies Love Danger (1935), Cairo (1942) and Cass Timberlane (1948). She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
She died in Los Angeles in 1964.
