Biography
Monica Heisey is a Canadian writer and screenwriter from Toronto, based in London. She graduated from Queen's University in 2010 and later obtained an MA in early modern literature from King's College London.
She has written for television series including Schitt's Creek (2015) and Workin' Moms. Her first screenwriting position was on the Baroness von Sketch Show, for which she and the writing team received four Canadian Screen Awards.
Heisey created the Sky Comedy series Smothered. She has also published the essay collection I Can’t Believe It’s Not Better (2015) and the novel Really Good, Actually (2023).
