Biography
Monique Walton is an independent producer based in Austin, Texas. She produced Greg Kwedar’s Sing Sing (2024), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023 and was acquired by A24.
Walton previously produced Annie Silverstein’s Bull (2019), which premiered in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard section, and the documentary feature Hollow Tree (2022), directed by Kira Akerman. She has also produced numerous short films.
She is the recipient of the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Producers Award. Walton was a 2016 Sundance Creative Producing Fellow and a 2020 Rotterdam Producing Fellow. Originally from Long Island, New York, she attended the University of Texas graduate programme.
