Biography
Morio Kazama is a Japanese actor. Born on 26 April 1949 in Sangenjaya, Setagaya, Tokyo, he began his career as a child actor in 1957, initially credited as Tomohito Sumita.
He is known for roles including Satomi (voice) in The Wind Rises (2013), Hanbei Mizoguchi in Samurai Fiction (1998), Asai in The Man Who Stole the Sun (1979), Ken Egawa in Pride (2004), and Jun Tayama in Asakusa Kid (2021). Kazama has received best supporting actor awards at the Yokohama Film Festival and the Japan Academy Prizes. He was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2010 and the Order of the Rising Sun, 4th Class, in 2023.
