Biography
Morten Køhlert is a Danish film and television director. Born on 11 December 1961 in Denmark, he worked as a musician, singer, journalist and television producer before graduating from the National Film School of Denmark in 1995.
His graduation short Fastelavnsfesten (1995) received special honours at the Bodil awards. He made his feature debut with Under overfladen (1999) and directed the family film Little Big Girl (Ulvepigen Tinke, 2002), which screened at international festivals and won awards including at Giffoni and Toronto.
Køhlert has directed episodes of Danish television series including Forsvar (2003–2004), twenty episodes of Absalons hemmelighed (2006), one episode of The Killing (2007), and all four episodes of the miniseries Hemmeligheden (2012).
