Biography
Morton Downey Jr. was an American television talk show host and actor. Born Sean Morton Downey Jr. on 9 December 1932 in Los Angeles, he died there on 12 March 2001.
He hosted The Morton Downey Jr. Show (1987–1989), which popularised a confrontational "trash TV" format. As an actor he appeared in films including Predator 2 (1990) as Tony Pope, Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (1992) as Orrin Price and Meet Wally Sparks (1997) as himself, as well as television episodes of Tales from the Crypt (1989) and Diagnosis: Murder (1993).
He was the son of singer Morton Downey and actress Barbara Bennett.
