Biography
Moshe Kasher is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor. He was born on 6 July 1979 in Queens, New York, and moved to Oakland, California, as a baby. He studied theatre at community college in the Bay Area before transferring to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated with a degree in religious studies and a minor in Jewish studies.
Kasher has written for television series including Betty (2020), for which he received writing credits, and Another Period (2015–2018). His acting roles include appearances in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Shameless, The Good Place, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Transparent (as Moshe Pfefferman) and The Pitt (as Jacob Samuel). He is the author of the 2012 memoir Kasher in the Rye.
He has been married to comedian Natasha Leggero since 2015 and they have one child. Kasher co-hosts the podcast The Endless Honeymoon with Leggero.
