Biography
Motomu Kiyokawa (9 April 1935 – 17 August 2022) was a Japanese actor and voice actor. He trained at the Haiyuza theatrical school from 1957 and later joined the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. His stage work preceded a long career in voice acting, beginning with roles in the 1960s.
Kiyokawa was known for voicing older male characters in anime. He provided the voice of Kōzō Fuyutsuki in Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995) and its films, Gargoyle in Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water (1990), Tem Ray in Mobile Suit Gundam (1979), and Walter C. Dornez in Hellsing (2001). He frequently worked with director Hideaki Anno. He died of pneumonia at the age of 87.
