Biography
Murilo Hauser is a Brazilian screenwriter. He co-wrote the screenplay for I'm Still Here (2024) with Heitor Lorega, based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's memoir; the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where Hauser and Lorega won the Best Screenplay award.
Hauser previously wrote the screenplay for Invisible Life (2019), directed by Karim Aïnouz. He has also contributed to Mariner of the Mountains (2021) and served as collaborating writer on The Blue Trail (2025). Hauser completed an MFA in screenwriting for film and television at the University of Southern California as a CAPES/Fulbright scholar.
