Biography
Nafessa Williams is an American actress. She trained at West Chester University, where she studied criminal justice, before beginning her acting career in 2011.
Her early roles included a recurring part as Deanna Forbes in the soap opera One Life to Live and a film appearance in Streets. She is known for playing Anissa Pierce / Thunder in Black Lightning (2018–2021), Dr Charlotte Piel in Code Black, Jade in the 2017 Twin Peaks revival, and Robyn Crawford in the 2022 biopic Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
In 2024 she starred as Cameron Cook in the series Rivals, an adaptation of Jilly Cooper's Rutshire Chronicles.
