Biography
Naima Ramos-Chapman is an American director, writer and actress. She was raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, studied dance at the Alvin Ailey School and graduated from Brooklyn College.
Her early short films include And Nothing Happened (2016) and Piu Piu (2018). She has worked extensively in television as a writer, director, actor, editor and producer on the HBO series Random Acts of Flyness (2018–2022).
Ramos-Chapman wrote and produced on the HBO series Betty (2020). She has also directed episodes of The Other Black Girl (2023) and produced on I'm a Virgo (2023). She is a Sundance Institute Screenwriters Intensive fellow and a 2021 United States Artists fellow.
