Biography

Nam Na-young is a South Korean film editor and negative cutter. She began her career as a negative cutter in 1997 before making her editing debut with the 2002 film Wet Dreams. She graduated from Kyungsung University with a degree in film directing.

She has edited more than 60 films and several series, working frequently with directors including Kim Jee-woon on The Good, the Bad, the Weird (2008) and I Saw the Devil (2010), and Hwang Dong-hyuk on Squid Game (2021). Other credits include Space Sweepers (2021), Extreme Job (2019) and The Fortress (2017). She received an Asian Film Award for best editing for I Saw the Devil and a Blue Dragon Film Award for Swing Kids (2018), and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her work on Squid Game.
