Biography
Nancy Cooperstein Charney is an American theatrical producer and television director. Born on 8 July 1939 in Fall River, Massachusetts, she began her career in theatre, working as a production assistant on the 1962 musical A Family Affair and producing the Broadway premiere of Lanford Wilson's Talley's Folly in 1980, which received a Tony Award nomination for Best Play.
Her television directing credits include an episode of the series The Wonder Years in 1992 and an episode of ABC Afterschool Specials in 1990. She also directed the short film Private Debts (1989), which screened at several festivals including Sundance and won the Golden Hugo Award at the Chicago International Film Festival. She has been married to actor Jordan Charney since 1966.
