Biography
Naomi Iizuka is a Japanese-born American playwright and television writer. Born in Tokyo on 22 April 1965, she holds a BA in classical literature from Yale University and an MFA in playwriting from the University of California, San Diego.
She has written for television series including The Terror (2018), Tokyo Vice (2022), Bosch: Legacy (2022) and The Sympathizer (2024). Iizuka has also taught playwriting at the University of Iowa, the University of Texas at Austin and the University of California, Santa Barbara, later heading the MFA playwriting programme at UC San Diego.
