Biography
Natto Wada (also credited as Wada Natto) was a Japanese screenwriter and film columnist. She graduated with an English degree from Tokyo Women's College in 1946 and began writing or co-writing film scripts in 1951, continuing until 1965.
She collaborated extensively with her husband, director Kon Ichikawa, on numerous films. Her screenplays include The Burmese Harp (1956), Fires on the Plain (1959), An Actor's Revenge (1963) and Tokyo Olympiad (1965). She was also known for her advice column in the Asahi Shimbun during the 1960s.
