Biography
Nedra Volz was an American actress. Born Nedra Viola Gordonier on 18 June 1908 in Montrose, Iowa, she began performing as a toddler in her family's vaudeville tent shows, billed as 'Baby Nedra'. She later worked as a band singer and radio performer before returning to performing in community theatre in the 1950s.
Volz began her professional screen career in the 1970s. She appeared as Aunt Iola in the 1978 All in the Family episode 'Aunt Iola's Visit'. Recurring television roles included Adelaide Brubaker on Diff'rent Strokes (1980–1982), Miz Emma Tisdale on The Dukes of Hazzard (1981–1983), and Pearl Sperling on The Fall Guy (1985–1986). Film credits include 10 (1979), Moving Violations (1985) and Earth Girls Are Easy (1988). Her final role was in The Great White Hype (1996).
Volz died on 20 January 2003 in Mesa, Arizona, aged 94.
