Biography
Neena Beber is an American screenwriter, playwright, librettist and television producer. She began her career writing for television, including dozens of episodes of Clarissa Explains It All (1991–1994) and six episodes of Daria (1997–2001). She also served as story editor and writer on Little Bear (1995–1999) and wrote the screenplay for the feature film How to Deal (2003).
Beber was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and an MFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She later concentrated on theatre, with plays including Jump/Cut and Hard Feelings staged in New York. She has received an Obie grant for emerging playwright and two Emmy nominations for her television work, and has also produced series such as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
