Biography
Neil Biswas (born 1971) is a British screenwriter, playwright and director. He grew up in East London and is of Indian Bengali descent. He graduated with a degree in English from Oxford University.
Biswas is best known for writing and directing the 2006 television drama Bradford Riots. He directed two episodes of the Channel 4 series Skins (Series 4) and co-created, wrote and co-executive produced the Sky 1 series Stan Lee's Lucky Man (2016–2018). His other writing credits include the mini-series The Take (2009) and an episode of Sinbad (2012). He wrote and directed the feature film Darkness Visible (2019).
Biswas was nominated for a BAFTA for Bradford Riots. He is married to actress and director Manjinder Virk.
