Biography

Nell Cox is an American director, producer and writer. Born on 28 July 1937 in the USA, she began her career in the 1960s as an editor on documentaries including Jane (1962) and Lord of the Flies (1963).

She directed episodes of prime-time series including three episodes of MASH (1981–1982), two of The Love Boat (1984–1985) and one of L.A. Law (1987), as well as work on The Waltons, Lou Grant, Falcon Crest and Ghostwriter. She wrote, produced and directed the PBS drama Liza's Pioneer Diary (1976) for the Visions anthology. Her feature film Hudson River Blues* was released in 1997.
