Biography
Nia Imani is a film and television editor. Her credits include Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé (2019), for which she won a Grammy Award for Best Music Film, Black Is King (2020), OLIVIA RODRIGO: driving home 2 u (a SOUR film) (2022) and an episode of the FX series The Bear (2023).
A native of Orlando, Florida, Imani attended Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts. After graduating she was mentored by editor Joi McMillion, who introduced her to Beyoncé’s company Parkwood. She is based in Los Angeles and represented by Work Editorial. She has also edited music videos and commercials, and was accepted into the Sundance Documentary Edit and Story Lab.
