Biography
Nicholas Kazan is an American screenwriter, producer and director. He wrote the screenplay for the 1990 film Reversal of Fortune, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Born in New York City in 1945, he is the son of director Elia Kazan and playwright Molly Kazan. He has written screenplays for films including At Close Range (1986), Patty Hearst (1988), Matilda (1996), Fallen (1998) and Bicentennial Man (1999). He also directed and wrote Dream Lover (1993).
Kazan married screenwriter Robin Swicord in 1984; their daughters are actresses Zoe Kazan and Maya Kazan.
