Biography
Nicholas Rowe is a British actor. Born on 22 November 1966 in Edinburgh, Scotland, he began his career with a role in the 1984 film Another Country and gained early recognition as the lead in Young Sherlock Holmes (1985).
He was educated at Eton College and holds a BA in Hispanic studies from the University of Bristol. Rowe has appeared in films including Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) as J, Nicholas Nickleby (2002) as Lord Verisopht, Seed of Chucky (2004) as a lawyer, Mr. Holmes (2015) as a matinee Sherlock Holmes, and Operation Mincemeat (2022) as Capt. David Ainsworth, as well as television series such as The Last Kingdom (2015) and The Crown (2016).
