Biography
Nick Whitfield is a British film director and writer. He began as a professional actor before writing and performing his own solo theatre shows. In 2006 he made a self-funded short film, also titled Skeletons, which led to further short-film funding and the development of his feature screenplay.
Whitfield's debut feature Skeletons (2010), which he wrote and directed, follows two psychic cleaners who expose clients' secrets. The film won the Michael Powell Award for Best New British Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and received a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut by a British Director. It was shot largely in Derbyshire locations.
