Biography
Nicolai Brüel, also credited as Nicolaj Brüel, is a Danish cinematographer. He was born on 19 August 1965 in Copenhagen and is the son of cinematographer Dirk Brüel. He graduated from the National Danish Film School in 1991.
Brüel has worked extensively in feature films and television. His credits include The Machine (2013), Dogman (2018), 5 Is the Perfect Number (2019), Pinocchio (2019), The Hanging Sun (2022) and House of Guinness (2025), on which he served as director of photography for five episodes. He has also shot numerous commercials and shorts.
