Biography
Nicolas Briançon is a French actor and stage director. Born on 29 July 1962 in Chambéry, Savoie, he trained in theatre and began his career on stage before moving into film and television.
He is known for his recurring role as Commissaire Herville in the series Spiral (Engrenages, 2005–2020), appearing across several seasons. Other credits include Maison close (2010), Carlos (2010), The Brats (2013), French Women (2014), Mr & Mme Adelman (2017), Cyrano, My Love (2018) and The Goldman Case (2023). He has also directed numerous theatre productions.
Briançon served as artistic director of the Festival d'Anjou from 2004 to 2019.
